Terry Fox Run

We believe on terry fox dreams, that one day the world will be free of cancer. APO QATAR AA volunteers on the terry fox run's day 20 february 2009. It was the first time here in Qatar that Alpha Phi Omega joins as a volunteer on that day.

We are assigned on the individual registrations /donations, giving certificate to the runners on that day and hope this will be the start of good communication to the terry fox runs team here in qatar.

Each year, Terry's example inspires thousands of people in 30 countries around the world to support cancer research, uniting us as one in the fight gainst the suffering caused by this horrendous disease. It is so hard to believe that 28 years has passed since Terry ran his most courageous journey, how proud he would be that his dream is still very much alive.

Despite the challenges faced by volunteer organizers such as yourselves every day, with your busy work schedules, family and other commitments, you have made the Run a key part of your lives. Without your dedication, commitment and energy, Terry Fox's vision would not be sustained. Terry lost his battle with cancer, but because of you, his legacy lives on.
Because of you, others will survive this disease in the future. And because of you, the Terry Fox Run in Doha will be a tremendous success. For this we are forever grateful.

We all know someone, a parent, child, spouse, sibling, friend, or a friend
of a friend that has been stricken with this horrid disease. That is why, the effort that you have put forth in organizing your Terry Fox Run is so important.. And that is why it is so important for all of us to keep working together to fight this dreadful and unsparing disease. So that one day, Terry's dream will be realized, that we will live in a world free of
cancer.
